Trend of paying almost every single spending with credit or debet cards (and especially in foreign countries) is reflected into the opposite situation - wild, dangerous, stormy wasteland right before the nigh fall. There is only glimmer of hope to stay safe over the night - a small hotel in the middle of nowhere forcing you to pay in cash.
